Another amazing video from Prager University with Conservative icon Dinesh D’Souza that delves into the concept of Fascism.
This is a must watch:
When we talk about American politics, the term “fascist” is one that we will often hear if we were listening to political pundits.
Those on the Left accuse those on the Right of being fascists, suggesting that Republicans are seeking the rise of the Fourth Reich.
Meanwhile, those on the Right are accusing Democrats of being fascists as they seek to limit constitutionally protected rights and work towards silencing the voices that they disagree with.
Who is correct?
First of all, let’s look at the definition of fascism from Maerriam Webster:
“A political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.”
At first glance, it sounds pretty complex, but if you simply break it down by its characteristics, you can more easily identify who the real fascists are.
To begin with, fascists exalt their nation and/or race above the individual. Think of this as when somebody says something along the lines of, “Doing what’s good for the collective.” Another way of looking at it is, “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.”
Both of these ideas, of placing the needs of others above your own, can be a noble and altruistic effort when the action is taken of the individual’s free will. However, it becomes a problem, in a fascistic government, when the individual is forced to make a sacrifice for the collective.
More importantly, however, and perhaps the most defining characteristic of fascism is the collection of power into a centralized government that seeks to forcibly suppress the opposition.
Between the two political parties, who is it that is having its members attacked for their political beliefs, being stormed out of restaurants by angry mobs, or who are having the lives of their families threatened by activists?
Make your own decision about who the real fascists of modern America are, and keep this in mind the next time a member of the Mainstream Media accuses the Republicans of being fascists.
Share this with a Leftist that you know who you would like to “trigger” today.
