Just A Little Reminder That Attacking Law Enforcement Is Nothing New For The Left

Remember those golden days of yesteryear where we weren’t worried about pandemics, cannibal rats, and literal Communists marching in the streets? A time when the economy was chugging along, unemployment was down, and America was prosperous?

I guess, what we’re saying is, remember that time when it wasn’t an election year?

Currently, there is a push from BLM, Antifa, members of the media, and Democrat Party elites who are demanding that the police forces in the United States be defunded and/or decommissioned entirely.

But where does this mentality come from? Does a handful of instances of possible police misconduct warrant throwing the baby out with the bathwater?

As it turns out, this anti-law enforcement push is nothing new. Especially for the Left.

It was just over a year ago that Democratically-elected Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was calling for the elimination of Homeland Security, an umbrella agency that oversees ICE.

While these calls to decommission law enforcement agencies may have started a nationwide conversation about whether or not the American people deserve protection from the bad guys, it also produced one of the most amazing video clips in recent political history.

Keep in mind that AOC is supposed to be the best and the brightest from New York’s 14th district. In fact, she is so qualified to represent a district that Nancy Pelosi suggested would elect a glass of water with a “D” next to its name that she went on to win her re-election bid.

Now, keeping in mind how brilliant and qualified she must be to hold such a prestigious position as a member of the United States House of Representatives, check out this exchange she had with the former Director of ICE Tom Homan:

Whether you like it or not, we are probably going to be stuck with the former drink-slinger whose ignorance is only matched by her confidence, arrogance, and condescension. Due to there not being term limits on Congress, and given the almost statistical certainty of incumbents being re-elected, we may see AOC reading the talking points that others have written for her until she is old and gray.
