Sometimes, you’ll hear a person say something along the lines of, “Kids today have no respect.” Unfortunately, in the age where TikTok is raising a generation of unethical sociopathic narcissists, whose sole goal in life seems to be to get attention, this expression still holds true.

In the following 2021 video, police respond to a group of unruly Spring breakers after they get calls about fights breaking out on the beach. One individual is taken into custody and placed into the back of a squad car.

As the police then turn their attention to the rest of the young adults, one of the beach-goers inches up to the police vehicle and pops open the back door. The suspect, handcuffed, then escapes and takes off running. Chaos erupts as the police work to apprehend the suspect and the crowd continues to get more volatile.

More officers are called to the scene and the police manage to control the crowd, dispersing the partyers off the beach. The police were eventually able to recapture their prisoner and he soon learned that, after running from the police, his charges went from a simple misdemeanor to a felony.

What’s even crazier about this story is that this video, of the suspect escaping from the back of a police cruiser, went viral on TikTok. It was in the comments section that an individual claimed credit for opening the door. The guy actually went online and took credit for committing a crime.

Police were able to locate that post’s author, identify him, and charged him for helping a suspect escape from the police. You just have to marvel at the lack of sense that these kids have. Perhaps there is a reason why, in 2019, Democrats tried to lower the voting age from 18 to 16.
